Interacting with comments is a great way to maintain a healthy community on your channel. Learn more about how to moderate comments.
Manage comments
- Open the YouTube Studio app.
- From the bottom menu, select Community .
- Select View all to see all of your comments.
- By default, you’ll see your published comments.
Reply & react to published comments
From your published comments, you can:
- Filter: At the top of the tab, select how you’d like to filter your comments, including by published comments, subscriber counter, and response status. Tap the filter bar for more options.
- Reply: Tap Reply to reply to comments. Learn more about replying with comment reply suggestions.
- Heart: Tap the heart to show appreciation.
- Like: Tap thumbs up to like a comment.
- Dislike: Select thumbs down to dislike a comment.
- Remove, report spam, or hide user from channel: Tap More .
- Pin: Tap a comment then tap More Pin to highlight a comment at the top of your video’s watch page. This option only appears when viewing comments for an individual video
Community spotlight
- Open the YouTube Studio app.
- From the bottom menu, select Community .
- Scroll down to the Community spotlight section.
This section updates weekly and highlights some of your most engaged audience members so you can identify and engage with them. Which audience members are included is based on various signals, such as receiving a high number of your hearts.
Comment topics
Comment topics use artificial intelligence (AI) to organize and summarize comments on YouTube videos. With this info, you can learn what’s of interest to your community, more easily join discussions, and get inspiration for new videos.
To review comment topics, go to the comments section of a video on the YouTube mobile app. If available, tap Topics . Learn more about comment topics.

How are comment topics summarized, and can I moderate them?
Comment topics use Google-owned AI models to organize and summarize comments, without human review, on YouTube videos with large comment sections. Topics are only created when there are enough comments to represent a theme.
There isn’t an option to opt out of comment topics. If you remove the comments that show up under a specific topic, the topic will be removed.
Topics won’t be created from comments that are held, contain blocked words, or are from hidden users.
To give feedback on comment topics:
- Open the comments section of a video on the YouTube app.
- Tap Topics .
- Tap More .
- Tap Send feedback.
