Manage playlists in YouTube Studio

Learn how to create, edit, manage and filter your playlists in YouTube Studio to engage with your audience.

Notes:

  • This feature may not be available with supervised experiences on YouTube.
  • There's a limit to how many public playlists a channel can create each day across YouTube Music, the YouTube main app and the YouTube API. You can increase your daily limit by gaining access to advanced features. Learn more.

 

YouTube Studio app for Android

Add videos to a playlist

  1. Open the YouTube Studio app .
  2. From the bottom menu, tap Content .
  3. Select Options next to the video that you want to add to a playlist.
  4. Tap Edit .
  5. Tap Add to playlist and then and tick the box next to the playlists that you want to add it to.
  6. Tap Done.
  7. Tap Save.

Remove videos from a playlist

To remove a specific video from a playlist, follow these steps:
  1. Open the YouTube Studio app .
  2. From the bottom menu, tap Content .
  3. Select Options next to the video that you want to remove from a playlist.
  4. Tap Edit .
  5. Tap the playlist to untick the box next to the playlist name.
  6. Tap Done.
  7. Tap Save.

Edit playlist settings (title, description, visibility, ordering)

You can edit the playlist title, description and privacy or the order of the videos in a playlist using the YouTube Studio app.
  1. Open the YouTube Studio app .
  2. From the bottom menu, tap Content .
  3. Tap the 'Playlists' tab and then select Options next to the playlist that you want to edit.
  4. Tap Edit .
  5. Edit the playlist's settings and then tap Save.

Delete a playlist

  1. Open the YouTube Studio app .
  2. From the bottom menu, tap Content .
  3. Tap the 'Playlists' tab and then select Options next to the playlist that you want to delete.
  4. Tap Edit .
  5. Tap Delete and then Delete.
