If you're an administrator of Google accounts for an organization, you can control who uses CS First from their account. Just turn CS First on or off for those people in your Admin console.
When CS First is turned on
Users can:
- Go to https://csfirst.withgoogle.com/login and sign in with their Google Workspace account.
- Go to https://csfirst.withgoogle.com/dashboard and open the teacher- or student-specific pages. These pages allow users to save and view student-created projects, privately share projects between students and teachers, track progress, connect with Google Classroom, and more. When CS First is turned off
Users can:
- Open publicly available content on the CS First homepage, all CS First curriculum, the resources page and the about page.
- Open and use the Scratch for CS First editor.
Important considerations:
- Users are signed out of CS First and have to sign in.
- Users who sign in to https://csfirst.withgoogle.comget an error message directing them to contact their domain administrator.
- Users not signed in to CS First can't go to https://csfirst.withgoogle.com/dashboard and open the teacher- or student-specific pages.

Users not signed in to CS First who open the Scratch for CS First editor can't save their work in CS First. However, users can download projects to their computer.
Control who uses CS First in your organization
Before you begin: To turn a service on or off for certain users, put their accounts in an organizational unit (to control access by department) or add them to an access group (to allow access for users across or within departments).

Sign in to your Google Admin console.
Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).

In the Admin console, go to Menu AppsAdditional Google services.

Click CS First.
Tip: Scroll to see all services. Or at the left, choose a Filter to narrow the list, for example, based on status or popularity.
- Click Service status.

To turn a service on or off for everyone in your organization, click On for everyone or Off for everyone, and then click Save.

(Optional) To turn a service on or off for an organizational unit:
- At the left, select the organizational unit.
- To change the Service status, select On or Off.
- Choose one:
- If the Service status is set to Inherited and you want to keep the updated setting, even if the parent setting changes, click Override.
- If the Service status is set to Overridden, either click Inherit to revert to the same setting as its parent, or click Save to keep the new setting, even if the parent setting changes.
