Manage users with individual Colab subscriptions

Your users can sign up for individual subscriptions to Colab Pro and Colab Pro+ from their Google Workspace account or a different account. For a user to use an individual subscription with their Google Workspace account, you must have the Colab additional Google service turned on for them.

How individual & organization subscriptions work

If a user signs up for an individual Colab Pro or Colab Pro+ subscription with their Google Workspace account and you assign them a license from your organization, the user gets the combined compute units for both subscriptions. For example, a user who signs up for Colab Pro and gets a Colab Pro license from you receives 100 compute units for each subscription, or 200 units total.

In addition, if a user buys additional compute units for their individual subscription using their Google Workspace account, they can add those compute units to their organization subscription.

You can’t manage a user’s individual subscription, even if they signed up using their Google Workspace account. For questions about managing users with individual and organization subscriptions, contact Google Workspace support.
