After you enroll a Google Meet hardware device, you can assign a personal calendar or room calendar to it. People can use that calendar to schedule meetings with the connected person or room. You can connect a room calendar with one device and a personal calendar with multiple devices.
Google Calendar must be on for a device to access the calendar. For details, go to Turn Calendar on or off for users.
Choose your set up:
- If you only use the device for unscheduled meetings, you don’t need to connect a calendar to it.

Assign a personal calendar
Calendar events that include the user will appear on the device.

Sign in to your Google Admin console.
Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).

Go to Menu DevicesGoogle Meet hardwareDevices.

Find the device you want to assign a calendar to. Click a device name to select it.Most newly enrolled devices are listed as Unnamed device. You'll add a name in the following steps.
- Make sure the serial number in the Device information section matches the number printed on the back of the device.
- Click Device settings. Edit the device name, location, and optional internal Asset ID. Click Device settings again to collapse the panel.
- In the Calendar section, click Assign Calendar. This option only appears if the device has no calendar assigned.
- Choose the Personal calendar option.
Enter the name or email address of the user and click Save.
Assign a room calendar
When a room is added to a Google Calendar event, the meeting name appears on the device screen. Users can tap the name to join the meeting.
Step 1: Create a room resource
This step creates a room, sometimes called a structured resource, that you can assign a calendar to. The resource should include all of the meeting hardware in the room. If you've already created a room, move on to Step 2.

In the Admin console, go to Menu DirectoryBuildings and resources.
- In the Resources section, click Add a resource.
- Under Category, select Meeting space.
- Enter the room information.

Step 2: Assign the room calendar to the device

If a calendar is already assigned, the Assign calendar option is not shown. - Select Room calendar and select the room where the device is located.
A service account is created when a calendar resource like a room is assigned to a device. If you remove these accounts, they are automatically re-added so the calendar can show events for the device. - Click Save.
