Update credit card details

Applies to editions of Google Workspace and other paid subscriptions in your Google Admin console.

You can change certain credit card information, such as a billing address or expiration date, by updating them in the Google Admin console. However, to update sensitive information, such as a card number, you need to add the card or account as a new payment method.

Update your card details

Are you fixing a payment failure? Follow these steps instead.

Update the name, expiration date, or CVC
  1. Sign in to your Google Admin console.

    Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).

  2. In the Admin console, go to Menu and then Billingand thenPayment accounts.
  3. Next to your subscription, click View payment methods.
  4. Next to the credit card you want to update, click Edit or Fix.
  5. Update the expiration date, CVC number, or name.
  6. Click Update.
Change a billing address
  1. Sign in to your Google Admin console.

    Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).

  2. In the Admin console, go to Menu and then Billingand thenPayment accounts.
  3. Next to your subscription, click View payment methods.
  4. Next to the credit card you want to update, click Edit.
  5. Next to the billing address, click Edit and enter the new address. For some countries, you only choose a country and enter a zip code.
  6. Click Update.
Add a new card number

You can’t update a card number after you add it. If you get a new or updated card number, you need to add the card as a new payment method. To protect sensitive financial information, we don’t show the entire card number in your billing settings.

To add a new card:

  1. Sign in to your Google Admin console.

    Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).

  2. In the Admin console, go to Menu and then Billingand thenPayment accounts.
  3. Next to your subscription, click View payment methods.
  4. Click Add Payment Method.
  5. Select Add credit or debit card and enter your card number and other information.
  6. Click Save.
  7. On the Payment methods page, select the option to make the new card your Primary or Backup payment method.
  8. Follow the steps in Remove a payment method to remove your old card from your billing account.

    You might see the message, "Check your information", if you recently renewed or updated your credit card information. Confirm with your card issuer that the card is activated.
