If you already have a 4-digit Google Account PIN, you enter it the first time you open and sign in to the Google Admin app. If you don’t already have a PIN, you’re prompted to create one at that time.
You can manage your Google Account PIN in the Admin app by doing any of the following actions:
- Create or change your PIN.
- Choose whether or not to require PIN entry to use the app.
- Recover your PIN if you forget it.
About your Google Account PIN
Using a PIN helps secure your managed Google account and ensures that any changes are only made by authorized administrators from your organization.
The PIN works on any device. If other people use your device while you’re signed in, they can’t use the Google Admin app or access any of your administrative data unless they know the PIN.
The PIN applies to other Google services, such as approving Google Play purchases.
The PIN is not:
- The password you use to sign in to your managed Google account.
- The PIN or password you use to unlock your mobile device. To make it easy to remember, you might want to use the same PIN for your device and your Google Account.
