In the Google Admin console, you can search for:
- Users
- Groups
- Features
- Settings
- Meetings
- Meeting room hardware
For example, you can search for users’ email addresses, team mailing lists, or password reset settings. You don't have to be exact with the search terms and you can use everyday words.
If you don’t see what you need in the results, check the list under Help articles. There you’ll find a list of Help Center articles about your topic.

Filter search results

Users
You can search for:
- Name (first name, last name, or partial name)
- Username (for example, christina@ or pham@)
- Email alias (for example, chris@)
- Secondary email address (for example, [email protected])

Features
Results under Features are quick links to specific pages in the Admin console. For example, if you enter Change a password, the results include links to the Password management page. Or, if you want to review daily activity of managed devices, enter Mobile device reports, and you’ll get a direct link to ReportingApps ReportsDevicesMobile.
Settings
You can search for specific settings in the Admin console, such as Settings for Gmail or Settings for YouTube. Your search results may include services that aren’t currently available.
Meetings
During a user search, if you want to review the quality of their meetings, click Meetings. The Meet quality tool opens. From there, you can troubleshoot video meetings and identify the root cause issues.
