Before you install Google Calendar Connector for HCL Notes (GCCHN), you need to prepare your HCL Domino servers. First, prepare the server where you plan to install GCCHN (the connector server). Then, set up the connector server’s access to each of your mail servers.
Step 1: Check the system requirements
Verify you meet all the system requirements.
Step 2: Load the HTTP task
Load the Domino HTTP task on the Domino server where you plan to install the connector. Consult your Domino documentation for details on how to configure the Domino HTTP task.
Before you proceed, make sure you turn on the SSL port.
Step 3: Turn on concurrent web agents
- Go to the Domino directory.
- On the Internet Protocols tab of the server document, click Domino Web Engine.
- From the list next to Run web agents concurrently, select Enabled.
Step 4: Increase the max concurrent agents setting
On your connector server, increase the Max concurrent agents setting by one. Increasing the setting makes sure the polling agent doesn't interfere with other agents running on the server.
If the polling agent isn't completing successfully in the time allowed by your connector server, increase the Max LotusScript/Java execution time.
To increase these settings:
- Go to the Domino directory.
- On the Server tasks tab of the Server document, click Agent manager.
- Increase the Max concurrent agents or max LotusScript/Java execution time.
Step 5: Set all mail servers as trusted servers
Any server responsible for polling Google Calendar and updating the Notes busytime information must have trusted server access to all of its mail servers.
To make sure the connector server is trusted for each mail server:
- In the Domino directory, open the mail server’s Server document.
- Click the Security tab.
- In the Trusted servers field, enter the name of the connector server or add the group that has the connector server as a member.
- Repeat these steps for each mail server.
Step 6: Sign the installation templates and check access
- Open the Domino Administrator client.
- In the installation kit, copy the google-calconn.ntf and gccin-log.ntf Notes templates to your connector server.
- Sign the template with the server ID.
