Supported editions for this feature: Frontline Standard; Business Plus; Enterprise Standard and Enterprise Plus; Education Fundamentals, Education Standard, Teaching and Learning Upgrade, and Education Plus; Enterprise Essentials Plus. Compare your edition

To get started with the Secure LDAP service, you’ll need to add LDAP clients to the service.

Follow these steps:

  1. Sign in to the Google Admin console at admin.google.com.
Be sure to sign in using your super administrator account, and not your personal Gmail account.

  2. Go to Appsand thenLDAP.

  3. Click Add LDAP client.

  4. Type a name in the LDAP client name field—for example, Atlassian Jira.

  5. Type a description for the LDAP client—for example, Issue-tracking app for software developers and project managers hosted in the Paris data center.

You can also use the description to add contact details or to specify the owner of the app.

  6. Click Continue.

Next steps

After you add the LDAP client, you'll need to configure access permissions, connect the LDAP client to the Secure LDAP service, and then switch the service status to On for the LDAP client.

For your next steps, see 2. Configure access permissions.
