Before the user can get a Google Voice number, you need to complete these steps in the Google Admin console:
- Add Google Voice to Google Workspace
- Add your locations
- Turn on Google Voice
- Assign a Voice license
- Assign a Voice number (in supported country/region)
- Meet these requirements
Note: The unmanaged version of Google Voice is no longer available for new numbers. You can now assign numbers to licensed users as part of the Google Voice for Google Workspace service. This change doesn't affect accounts that previously added Google Voice numbers. Learn more
