Use rules to turn alerts on or off

By configuring a rule in the Google Admin console, you can turn alerts on or off. You can also use a rule to configure other settings, for example to configure alert center email notifications. 

You have two options for using rules to turn alerts on or off:

• Turn alerts on for all reporting rules at once—From the alert center, you can enable alerts for all reporting rules with one click. Go to a banner at the top of the page, and click Turn On.
• Turn alerts on or off one rule at a time—Turn alerts on or off one rule at a time from the rules page.

Turn alerts on for all reporting rules

1. Sign in to your Google Admin console.

   Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).

2. In the Admin console, go to Menu  SecurityAlert center.
3. From the banner at the top of the page, click Turn On.
   
   Note: If you don't want to use this option, you can click Dismiss. By clicking Turn On or Dismiss, the banner will disappear, and any subsequent changes must be done for each rule individually from the rules page.

Turn alerts on or off one rule at a time

1. Sign in to your Google Admin console.

   Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).

2. In the Admin console, go to Menu  SecurityAlert center.
   You’ll see any alerts for your domain. 
3. Click Manage alerts and email notifications.
   This opens the rules page.
4. From the list on this page, click a rule that corresponds with one of the alert center alerts— for example, User-reported phishing.
5. Click the Actions panel.
6. Turn the alert on or off.
7. Click NEXT: REVIEW.
8. Click UPDATE RULE.

Note:

• The Google Operations alert is On by default and cannot be turned off.
• When editing the Google Operations rule, you cannot remove the primary super administrator from the recipient list for email notifications.
