VAST ad tags support both http and https. Impression tracking URLs respect the current SSL setting and return as either http or https. Click-through and click-tracking use http since they redirect from another page.
To generate ad tags for video and audio ad units:
- Sign in to Google Ad Manager.
- Click Inventory, then Ad units.
- Click on an existing video and audio ad unit and click Tags.

Select from the available options and click Continue after each step.

Select Google Publisher Tag for Video and Audio.

To create an ad tag for live stream video, turn on Live traffic. Turning this on ensures the ability to handle heavy live traffic volumes where all ad breaks are delivered at the same time.
This option is specific to video inventory for Dynamic Ad Insertion. - Select a player SDK type.
