Review apps using your publisher ad code or hosting your web pages' ads

The "Apps to confirm" page lists mobile apps using your publisher ad code, but haven't been added to your Ad Manager account. Once you've confirmed your app, you can:

  • Avoid ad serving limits
  • Stay informed about your app status
  • See revenue, impressions, and more

The "Apps: In-app browser" page lists mobile apps showing your web pages’ ads in embedded browsers.  From here, you can enable targeting for these apps.

Ad serving limits may impact your revenue.

Review and confirm apps

View the "Apps to confirm" page to check if you have apps that require action:

  1. Sign in to Google Ad Manager.
  2. Click Inventory, then Apps, and then Apps to confirm
  3. Filter by Requires setup.

If you own (or are responsible for monetizing this app via MCM) and want to avoid or lift ad serving limits for the apps that appear, click Finish setup. You can create a new app or add the store ID or package name to an existing app in Ad Manager.

Block apps that aren't yours

If you don't own an app (and are not responsible for monetizing this app via MCM) that appears, click Not my app. This stops ads showing in the app and marks the app as "blocked".

Unblock your apps

You can unblock an app that you previously marked as "Not my app".

  1. Sign in to Google Ad Manager.
  2. Click Inventory, then Apps, and then Apps to confirm
  3. Filter by Ads blocked.

When you unblock an app, you must finish setup to add it to the apps list.

The maximum number of apps that can appear on the Apps to confirm page is 500.

Enable targeting for in-app browser apps

After exploring and understanding your in-app browser traffic, you may have found ways to improve it, like selling it directly by targeting.

To target in-app browser on a per-app basis:

  1. Sign in to Google Ad Manager.
  2. Select Inventory, then Apps, and then "Apps: In-app browser".
  3. Enable targeting for a suggested app and/or Finish setup:
    • Enable targeting affects visibility of the app in the targeting picker. When toggled on, you will find the app in the mobile application “Targeting type”.
    • Finish setup allows ad serving for mobile app traffic and targeting for in-app browser traffic.
  4. Include in-app browser apps in targeting through the Mobile application targeting type.
