Open Measurement for non-in-stream

You can select viewability providers that will be able to see Open Measurement data for non-in-stream video.

Open Measurement is an industry standard that shows viewability measurement for third-party providers. The buyer can send Open Measurement signals to third-party measurement vendors and then view metrics through the vendors' product.

Open Measurement for non-in-stream video is automatically supported through Google Publisher Tags, so providers don't need to update their tags. To activate Open Measurement, publishers who run reservation, Programmatic Guaranteed, and/or Preferred Deals campaigns need to:

  1. Add a viewability provider to the Ad Manager network
  2. Assign the viewability provider to a line item
Note

1. Add a viewability provider to the Ad Manager network

You need to add third-party viewability providers to your network before they’re available to assign to line items. Follow these steps:

  1. Obtain the following from each provider:
    • Vendor key: The vendor key usually has the format of [domain]-[usecase]
      For example: moat.com-omid, integralads.com-omid, comscore.com-omid, doubleverify.com-omid
    • Script URL: the URL that hosts the verification script for the vendor
    • URL parameters: the parameters that should be passed to the downloaded verification script. These are the same as the VerificationParameters in the VAST 4.1 spec
    • Rejection tracker URL: the URL that should be pinged if the verification script can't be run
  2. Add a new company with a Viewability provider type.
  3. Use the information from step 1 to enter the "Viewability" settings, enter other optional settings as needed, and click Save.

2. Assign the viewability provider to a line item

  1. Open a line item.
  2. Select the provider in the "Open Measurement Viewability Partner" field.
  3. Click Save.
