About First Look

Capture revenue opportunities from high-CPM bids by allowing them to serve ahead of reservation inventory. #firstlook #floorprice

First Look allows you to capture incremental revenue opportunities from high-CPM bids by allowing those bids to serve ahead of your reservation inventory. With First Look pricing rules, you can:

  • Expose or block select inventory through granular targeting.
  • Specify a floor price, above which a First Look-eligible bid will be eligible to serve ahead of your reservation inventory.
  • Set pricing and blocking options for select advertisers/brands.

First look bids must clear the First Look floor and the value CPM (or "Rate" if value CPM isn't available) of any remnant/non-guaranteed line item selected by dynamic allocation to compete for an impression, but do not need to clear the temporary CPM set by dynamic allocation for a guaranteed line item.

First Look is only available for bids in the Open Auction. It’s not supported for Preferred Deals or Private Auctions.
