Related Search for search pages

This article describes "Related Search", which is one of the Alternative Search Queries (ASQ) features available with AdSense for Search (AFS). Related Search lets you show related search terms when a user makes a search query on your site.

When the user clicks a related search term, they're taken to another search results page. Using related search on your search results, you can increase search volume on your site and help users find what they are looking for.

You can learn more about Google Custom Search Ads Policy: Alternative Search Queries.

Example of related search for search pages in Ad Sense.

Create a related search unit for your search pages

  1. Create a search style in your AdSense account using related search settings.
  2. Get the code for your search style and paste it into the HTML of your search pages.
Note: Related search takes steps to filter terms that are explicit, adult, or sensitive in nature. This includes but is not limited to terms that reference sexual and pornographic content, violence, abuse, self-harm, gambling, alcohol and illicit drug use, and/or addiction.
