If your site is linked to a platform partner, the platform partner may partially or fully control certain settings (called platform partner properties) on your shared traffic.
Shared traffic means any ad request where both your publisher ID and the platform's publisher ID are present. If your ad code has the data-ad-host
parameter present, then your ad code is considered to send ad requests as "shared traffic". Or, if your page has the google-adsense-platform-account
meta tag present, then all AdSense ad requests from your page are considered to be "shared traffic".
Check your site's platform partner properties
- Sign in to your AdSense account.
- Click Sites.
- In the list of sites, find your site.
Tip: Use the filter at the top of the page to quickly find sites in your sites list. You can either use the preset terms or enter your own search term.
- Click your site and check its platform partner properties.
Platform partner property Description Ad settings Whether you or the platform partner control the ad settings for your site. Ad settings include Auto ads settings, blocking controls, regulatory controls, etc. Note: This only applies to shared traffic.Ads.txt Whether you or the platform partner control the ads.txt setting for the site. If ads.txt is under your control, you can create an ads.txt file for your site. Policy violations A notice that the platform partner can view the policy violations for your site's shared traffic. Revenue share settings What percentage of your AdSense revenue you keep (0-100%) and what percentage the platform keeps (0-100%). Note: This applies to the revenue that you earn after the standard AdSense revenue share.
Unlink your site
If you want to unlink your site from a platform partner, your traffic needs to stop being "shared traffic".
To unlink your site:
- Remove the
data-ad-host
parameter from your ad code. - Remove the
google-adsense-platform-account
meta tag from your pages. - Either wait for AdSense to recrawl your site, or remove your site from AdSense and then re-add your site.
After your site is unlinked, your site's settings will be updated on the site's page.
