Download a Google Ads account in Google Ads Editor
- Click Accounts to open the accounts manager.
- Click Add.
- Enter the account email address and password, then click Next.
- Select the part of the account that you'd like to download.
- To select a subset of campaigns quickly, use the links at the bottom of the dialog: All, None, Active, Paused. For example, if you select Active, you will only download active campaigns, leaving paused, removed, and ended campaigns on the server.
- Click OK.
Once the account has downloaded, expand the account and campaigns by clicking the arrow (▶) in the tree view. Learn more about account navigation.
Download multiple accounts
If you manage several Google Ads accounts, Google Ads Editor can store them all for easy viewing and editing. In Google Ads Editor 11.0 and above, you can open and view multiple accounts, side-by-side.
How to open multiple accounts:
- Click Accounts to open the accounts manager.
- Select a different account from the one you're currently viewing. If you haven’t added additional accounts yet, click Add and follow the steps to add another account.
- Click Open.
Download manager accounts
If you have a manager account (formerly known as MCC), you can use Google Ads Editor to make changes to managed accounts through your manager account.
- Click Accounts to open the accounts manager.
- Click Add.
- Enter your manager account email and password (not the managed account email and password).
- Click Next.
- You'll see a list of the managed accounts, along with the account description or campaign name when available. Optional: Check the box next to Show MCC tree view to see the complete account tree, including MCC parents and accounts that you've added but haven't yet downloaded.
- Select an account and click Open.
- Select the part of the account that you'd like to download.
- Click Open. Repeat these steps for any other client accounts you wish to download.
How to search within your manager accounts:
- Click Accounts to open the accounts manager.
- Enter your search into the search field.
Overwrite changes (Get full account)
- Go to the Account menu > Full download. Google Ads Editor will alert you that any unposted changes will be lost.
- To continue, click OK.
