Policy Against Fingerprints and Locally Shared Objects

The Google Analytics policy will change in February 2025. The policy will state that “All sites and/or applications using Google Analytics and/or Google Analytics for Firebase must abide by the Platform program privacy disclosures”.

The following policy applies to all sites and/or applications using Google Analytics and/or Google Analytics for Firebase:

You must not use device fingerprints or locally shared objects (e.g. Flash cookies, Browser Helper Objects, HTML5 local storage) other than HTTP cookies, or user-resettable device identifiers designed for use in measurement or advertising, in connection with Google Analytics.
