Transfer apps and databases between team members

Note: Teams are supported for Enterprise Plus plans only.

As a team root, you can transfer apps and databases between team members. For example, you might need to do this when a user leaves an organization before deleting their account.

If a Google Workspace account has been deleted, you can't transfer the AppSheet apps and databases associated with that account unless you temporarily restore the account, as described in Restore a recently deleted user. If the user restoration period has been exceeded, then it won't be possible to transfer the apps and databases.

Transfer apps between team members

Note: You must have team root permissions to transfer apps between team members.

To transfer apps between team members:

  1. Sign in to AppSheet using your team root account.
  2. Select My team in the account profile drop-down.
  3. Click the Members tab.
  4. Expand the team member whose apps you want to transfer.
  5. Click Transfer app ownership.
    The Transfer apps dialog displays. 
  6. Select the account that the apps will be transferred to in the Transfer apps to drop-down.
  7. Click Transfer.

Transfer databases between team members

Note: You must have team root permissions to transfer apps between team members.

To transfer databases between team members:

  1. Sign in to AppSheet using your team root account.
  2. Select My team in the account profile drop-down.
  3. Click the Members tab.
  4. Expand the team member whose databases you want to transfer.
  5. Click Transfer AppSheet database ownership.
    The Transfer AppSheet databases dialog displays. 
  6. Select the account that the databases will be transferred to in the Transfer AppSheet databases to drop-down.
  7. Click Transfer.
