You can find your restaurant’s popular dishes in your Business Profile on Google Maps on the Android app. You can also add dishes, menu data, and links to your menu through Maps.
Both you and your customers can add photos and names of dishes. However, dish names added by you will get precedence over dish names added by customers. You can also suggest an edit if you feel a dish is inaccurate.
Find and add dishes
- On your Android device, open Google Maps .
- Enter your restaurant name in the search bar.
- In your Business Profile, tap Menu Add .
- Add a photo of the dish.
- Enter the dish name and tap Done.
- Tip: You can also recommend a dish or not by tapping Yes or No .
Note: Photos added through Maps will appear in the general photos list for your business. They may also appear as dishes if the photo is identified with a dish name.
Add, edit, or correct a dish name
- On your Android device, open Google Maps .
- Enter your restaurant name in the search bar.
- Tap Menu.
- Tap on the dish you want to edit:
- To add a dish name to a photo that doesn’t have a name, tap Add a dish name Add a name.
- To edit a wrong dish name, tap Suggest an edit Edit dish name. We’ll aim to post the edits within a few days, but we don’t guarantee they’ll be published.
- To indicate that the name is incorrect, tap Suggest an edit Wrong dish name. Dish name edits made by you will be given priority over dish names from customers.
Flag a dish photo or name for review
- On your Android device, open Google Maps .
- Enter your restaurant name in the search bar.
- Tap Menu.
- To flag a dish photo or name, tap on the dish you want to flag:
- To flag a dish as incorrect, tap Suggest an edit Mark dish as incorrect.
- To flag a dish as inappropriate, tap Suggest an edit Inappropriate dish name.
- To flag that a dish isn’t served at your restaurant, tap Suggest an edit Dish not served here.
- To flag a review that mentions a dish, next to the review, tap More Report review.
- To flag a photo of a dish, tap the photo. In the top right, tap the Flag .
Note: This step is recommended if there’s an issue with the photo only.
