Report inappropriate calendar invitations & events

If you notice a suspicious invitation or event on your calendar, report it as spam.

Step 1: Report the event as spam

Important:

  • To report an event as spam, it must be sent from Google Calendar. Calendar events created by another provider, app, or service can’t be reported as spam.
  • When you report an event, the event is removed from your calendar. If the event recurs, all events in the series are removed.
  1. On your computer, open Google Calendar.
  2. Click the event you want to report.
  3. At the top right, click More actions and then Report as spam.

Step 2: Change event permissions

  1. On your computer, open Google Calendar.
  2. At the top right, click Settings and then Settings.
  3. In the "General" tab, click Event settings and then Add invitations to my calendar.
  4. Select Only if the sender is known.
    • This adds an event to your calendar only if the sender is in your contacts, part of your organization, or someone you've interacted with.
      • This option might reveal to senders they aren't in your contacts.
