Time and day targeting

Use Time and day targeting to serve your ad only at specific times and or on specific days of the week.

  1. Choose whether time and day settings for this ad will be based on the User's local time or on Eastern Time. "User's local" time is the time of day for the user receiving your ad.

If a user's geographic location cannot be determined, the user's time zone is set to Eastern Time.
  2. Select the checkboxes for the days of the week when your ad will be served. Days begin at midnight and end at 11:59 pm.

  3. Select the checkboxes for the times of day when your ad will be served.

  4. Click Save.

Time and day targeting is particularly useful for campaigns related to time-specific products, such as tickets to sporting events or ads for a television series that airs on a particular day. You can also use time and day targeting to reach particular demographics or groups of users engaged in time-related activities. For example, if your target audience is students, you might serve ads only during after-school hours. Or you might promote a quick-recipe site in the hours just before dinner.

Campaign Manager 360 does not take day targeting into account when it tries to reach your ad's delivery goals. For example, if you target your ad to serve only on Mondays, Campaign Manager 360 won't give the ad special priority on Mondays, even though that's the only day of the week when this ad can serve. For this reason, you may not reach high delivery goals for ads that have narrow time and day targeting.
