Use the Edit multiple button in your campaign to make batch edits. This allows you to edit many rows at the same time. For example, you might want to apply the same start date to several ads and creatives, or change names throughout your campaign using a find-and-replace tool.
-
Select rows in your campaign and click Edit multiple. You can also click the button first and then make your selection.
-
Enter changes in the batch edit window.
-
Click Make changes.
I'm having trouble. The issue is probably that one or more changes are not possible for the rows you selected.
-
If the "Make changes" button is disabled, then none of your edits are applicable for any of the rows you selected.
-
If your changes did not apply to some of the rows you selected, then these changes were not the right kind for the rows you selected.
-
If the landing page section says you must select the same type of URL, see below.
To troubleshoot, start by checking for the issues listed below. Or try the "Common goals" section of this article for steps to typical batch edits. Remember that you can select or de-select rows at any time, even if the "edit multiple" pane is already open.
Possible issues
-
You selected different kinds of landing pages. Select only click tags, only exit events, or only creatives (for image, in-stream, custom, or tracking creatives). You can only bulk edit one type of landing page at any given time because Campaign Manager 360 handles landing pages differently depending on the asset.
-
You selected the wrong type of item for the changes you entered. For example, this would happen if you selected ads and then attempted to change placement properties in the "edit multiple" pane.
-
You want to make changes to run dates or other assignment properties, but you selected ads or creatives outside their assignment structure. These might be items that appear in a row by themselves, or that you found using a limited view in the Views menu. (Learn more below.)
-
You selected ads and then entered changes in the "Creative assignments" section of your edit options. You must select creatives, not ads, to make changes in this section. Find ads that have creative assignment properties you want to change (such as creative rotation weight) and then select the creatives under them. You do not need to select the ads.
-
You want to change the rotation weight of creatives, but the rotation is not set to "Custom" in the assigned ad properties. You must open the assigned ads in your campaign and choose the custom setting first.

Selection tips
-
Do you want to change assignment properties, such as rotation or run dates? Then select your item in each assignment structure that you want to update.
For example, say you want to change an ad's start date for ten placements. In this case, select the ad under each of those ten placements in your campaign. This way Campaign Manager 360 knows which ad-placement assignment properties to update. Likewise, if you want to change a creative's rotation weight in a few ads, find those ads and select the creative under them.
-
First, make sure your campaign view shows all the items and assignment structures you need. Check which view is selected in the Views menu (the default "Summary" view is a good choice).
-
You can click the search bar and use filters to find items you want to change. Or scroll down through your list.
-
To make multiple edit changes, your items must all be the same type: only ads, only creatives, or only placements. See I’m having trouble above for more details.
Common goals
Change names-
Select items you want to edit and click Edit multiple.
-
View the "Basic" section.
-
Choose an edit option from the "drop-down" menu in the "Name" row. You have three options.
-
Find and replace any character or phrase in the names of the items you selected. Enter a value to find in the first field and a replacement in the second field. Campaign Manager 360 will make this replacement in the names of every item you select. It works the same way as a text editor's find-and-replace tool.
-
For example, if you want to replace all instances of
001
with002
, then enter001
in the first field and002
in the second. In this case, Campaign Manager 360 will find001
in the names of every item you selected and replace it with002
(e.g., the nameHTML5-001
would change toHTML5-002
.)
-
-
Add a prefix to the names of each item you selected. For example, you might want to add
Holiday-
to the beginning of every ad name in your holiday campaign. In this case, you would enterHoliday-
as a prefix and select every ad in your campaign. An ad namedblue
would be renamedHoliday-blue
. -
Add a suffix to the names of each item you selected. For example, you might want to add
-sports
to the end of every ad name in your sports campaign. In this case, you would enter-sports
as a suffix and select every ad in your campaign. An ad namedbeverage
would be renamedbeverage-sports
.
