Placement ad blocking

Placement-level ad blocking lets you specify ad blocking settings for individual placements.

Ad blocking prevents your ads from serving to inventory where you do not want them to appear. This way you can make sure your advertiser's brand does not appear in the wrong context. If you enable ad blocking, Campaign Manager 360 will send either transparent pixels or your own unbranded creatives to inventory that matches your ad blocking criteria.

Your overall ad blocking criteria is managed in Verification. In Trafficking, you enable ad blocking for specific campaigns, sites, or placements.

A common use case for controlling ad blocking on individual placements is to satisfy specific publisher requirements. Some publishers don’t allow ad blocking on prominent placements, like homepage mastheads. You can enable ad blocking for an entire site, and use this setting to disable ad blocking for specific placements.

Update ad blocking on individual placements

  1. Navigate to an existing placement or create a new one.
  2. Open the Verification settings section.
  3. Check or uncheck the option to Allow ad blocking for this placement.
  4. Click Save.

Working with ad blocking on campaigns, sites, and placements.

Campaign Manager 360 respects the ad blocking settings you’ve set across campaigns, sites, and placements. If you’ve disabled ad blocking for an entire site, for example, you won’t be able to turn it on for specific placements on that site.
