Applies to Android users who use managed Chrome browser.
Note: Ivanti Neurons for MDM was formerly called MobileIron Cloud.
You can use Ivanti Neurons for MDM to deploy a Chrome Enterprise Core enrollment token and enroll your Chrome browsers. You can then use your Google Admin console to assign a distribution policy for users who open Chrome browser on an enrolled Android device.
Before you begin
- Make sure you have access to the Ivanti Neurons for MDM console.
Enroll browsers
Step 1: Generate the enrollment token

Sign in to your Google Admin console.
Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).

Generate an enrollment token. See Generate enrollment token.

Copy the token to use in step 3.
Step 2: Add the Google Chrome app in Ivanti Neurons for MDM
Sign into your Ivanti Neurons for MDM console.
- Select Apps > App Catalog.
- Click +Add. This starts a wizard to set up the new app, following the process displayed on the left; Choose Describe Delegate Distribute Configure.
- Click the store icon dropdown and select Google Play.
- Enter Chrome in the search field and then select Chrome from the app result list.
- If the application is already approved for Android for Enterprise, click Select. Otherwise, click Approve.
- Select a category and add a description for the app.
- Click Next.
- Set app delegation if needed.
- Click Next.
- Select the desired app distribution policy.
- Click Next.
- Next to Managed Configurations for Android, click .
- Name the managed configuration policy.
- Specify your desired configuration settings for silent distribution.
Step 3: Assign the enrollment token to Chrome browser
- Set the enrollment token to be pushed to the device:
- Scroll to or search for the policy, created in step 2., in the Managed Configurations for Android list.
- In the Cloud Management Enrollment Token box, paste the token generated in step 1.
- Click Next.
- Next to the Install on device settings, click .
- Name and configure the desired distribution policy for the configuration.
- After you configure the distribution policy, click Done.
