You can use price tracking on your phone, tablet, or computer to check for price drops on products that you want to buy.
To use the price tracking and insights features and receive notifications, you must:
- Live in the US
- Sign in to Chrome with your Google Account
- Sync your history
- Turn on "Make searches and browsing better"
Get price & shopping insights
Important: Price insights are not yet available on all product pages. This feature will be available for more product pages in the future.
With "Shopping Insights" in Chrome, you can find the price history and price range of products, which includes products with variants, like different colors or storage capacity, across the web.
Find the price history for a product
- On your iPhone or iPad, open Chrome .
- Go to the page of the product.
- To find "Shopping Insights," in the address bar, at the left, tap Good deal now .
- To track the product, tap Track.
Track price on a product page
Important: Price tracking only works on pages that have a trackable product.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open Chrome .
- Go to the webpage of the product that you want to track.
- Tap More Track Price.
- Scroll to select a product.
- Tip: If the site doesn’t contain trackable products, there won’t be a list of choices.
- Tap Track Done.
Tips:
- You will receive a request from Track Price to send you notifications.
- If you Don’t Allow notifications, you won’t receive alerts about price changes.
When a price has dropped on a tracked product, a badge or blue-colored dot will show on the top right of the “Track Price” tile.
Manage price tracking from ChromeImportant: These steps apply to products you already track.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open Chrome .
- Tap More Track Price.
- Under “Tracking prices,” select the product you want to manage.
- To the right of the product, tap More .
- To stop tracking, tap Untrack .
- The list will update and the product will be removed from the list.
- You’ll get a confirmation “Price tracking stopped.”
- At the top right, tap Done.
Important: To receive mobile notifications, you need to turn on notifications for Chrome.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open Chrome .
- Tap More Settings Notifications Track Price.
- Under “Track Price,” turn Mobile and Email Notifications on or off.
- Tap Done.
Check for price drops on open tabs
Important: When you close the tab for a product with a tracked price, Chrome won’t track it anymore.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open Chrome .
- Go to Tab switcher view .
- On the tab for the product you like, check for a badge.
- If Chrome detects a price drop, at the top left, it shows a badge.
- On your iPhone or iPad, open Chrome .
- Tap More Settings Google services.
- Turn off Track prices on tabs.
Troubleshoot problems
I can’t find a price tracking optionImportant: Price tracking is currently not available outside of the US. Additionally, the device must be running iOS 15 and up.
If you can’t find a price tracking option, it may not be available on the website.
Make sure that you:
- Live in the US
- Sign in to Chrome with your Google Account
- Sync your history
- Turn on "Make searches and browsing better"
Some sites will have products that can't be tracked. If you’ve used price taking on this device before, it's possible that price tracking isn't available for the specific product or website that you want.
If you haven't used price tacking before, check to make sure you meet the basic requirements for price tracking.
If you’ve already successfully used price tracking on this device, make sure that you still meet the requirements for this feature, and confirm that the product is still trackable.
