You can make and change alarms in the Clock app on your Android device, Pixel phone, or Pixel Tablet.
Set an alarm
Set alarm time- Open your device's Clock app .
- Tap Alarm.
- Pick an alarm.
- To add an alarm, tap Add .
- To edit an existing alarm time, tap on its current time.
- To add an alarm, tap Add .
- Set the alarm time.
- On the analog clock: Slide the hand to the hour you want. Then slide the hand to the minutes you want.
- On the digital clock: Enter the hour and minutes you want.
- With the 12-hour format: Tap AM or PM.
- On the analog clock: Slide the hand to the hour you want. Then slide the hand to the minutes you want.
- Tap OK.
- Open your device's Clock app .
- Tap Alarm.
- On the alarm you want, tap the On/Off switch.
Tip: If the alarm is set to repeat, this turns all repeats on or off.
Change an alarm
Cancel or delete alarm- Open your device's Clock app .
- Tap Alarm.
- On the alarm you want, tap the Down arrow .
- Cancel: Turn the switch on or off.
- Delete: To permanently delete the alarm, tap Delete.
Use a sound
- Open your device's Clock app .
- Tap Alarm.
- On the alarm you want, tap the Down arrow .
- Tap the current sound's name.
- Choose a sound:
- Pick a sound from the list: Tap it.
- Use your own sound file: If you've downloaded a sound file to your device, tap Add new Your sound file. Learn where to find your files.
Use a song from YouTube Music, Pandora, or Spotify
- If you haven't yet, download the YouTube Music, Pandora, or Spotify app. Learn how to download apps.
- Open the app and sign in to your account. Learn how to open apps.
- Open your device's Clock app .
- Tap Alarm.
- On the alarm you want, tap the Down arrow .
- Tap the current sound's name.
- Next to "Sounds," tap YouTube Music, Pandora, or Spotify.
- If these options aren’t available, tap More and install a music app.
- Find a song you want to use, then tap it.
- YouTube: To choose a song or album, use a premium account. No-charge accounts don't work with Clock.
- Pandora (US only): To choose a song, use a premium account. Plus and no-charge accounts can choose stations. No-charge accounts might hear ads.
- Spotify: To choose a song, use a premium account. No-charge accounts can choose playlists and might hear ads.
- Open your device's Clock app .
- Tap Alarm.
- On the alarm you want, tap the Down arrow .
- Name: To name the alarm, tap Add label.
- Repetition: To make the alarm repeat, tap the days of the week.
- Vibration: To turn alarm vibrations off or on, tap Vibrate.
Add a Google Assistant Routine to an alarm
Make sure you have:
- Open your device’s Clock app .
- Tap Alarm.
- On the alarm you want, tap the Down arrow .
- Next to “Google Assistant Routine,” tap Add .
- Choose the actions you want the Assistant to do. Learn more about Google Assistant Routines.
- Tap Save.
To change or turn off a Google Assistant Routine:
- Change a routine: Tap Google Assistant Routine.
- Turn off a routine: Next to "Google Assistant Routine," tap Remove .
Snooze or stop an alarm
- Snooze: To delay an alarm for 10 minutes, tap Snooze.
- Stop: To stop an alarm, tap Stop.
Tip: You can change your snooze time and set your device's volume buttons to snooze or dismiss alarms. Learn how to change your Clock app settings.
Display weather updates in the Clock app
Provide location permissions
To show weather conditions in the city you’re in, your device needs access to your location. You can provide location permissions in the Clock app’s settings.
- Open your device's Clock app .
- Tap More Settings Local weather on clock Continue Allow all the time.
Add your local weather forecast to an alarm
You can see weather info when your alarm goes off.
- Open your device's Clock app .
- To add an alarm, at the bottom, tap Add .
- Select Weather forecast.
- When you stop your alarm, the forecast will display.
Tip: Be sure your Clock app has access to your location.
