Filter notifications allow you to receive email notifications for different kinds of activities in your filters. If you are a PE, you can create filter notifications to customize the types of notifications you want to receive. Here are some of the ways you can use filter notifications:
- Create a notification for threads that receive more than 50 upvotes.
- Get notifications for new posts in a particular category.
- Get notifications for questions that have been unanswered for more than a day.
Create a filter notification
To create a filter notification:
- Hover the cursor over the filter you created and want to receive notifications for.
- Select Open menu
and Subscribe.
- In the drop down, select the forums you want to subscribe to and receive email notifications for when the post matches the filter conditions. Based on your requirements, you can select as many forums as you want. The drop down defaults to forums you've selected in the left side panel.
Note: When you create a filter, you will only see posts from certain forums. However, when you subscribe to that filter, make sure to select all the relevant forums to receive email notifications for.
- Select Subscribe.You are now subscribed to receive email notifications for posts that match the filter conditions.
