Use this guide to troubleshoot creative rejections for network requests including:
- Fourth-party calls to unapproved vendors (any file loaded from a vendor that's not on the approved vendor list)
- Non-secure calls (any file loaded from a URL that does not begin with
https://
)
How to find rejected network requests
The troubleshooting steps vary depending on creative type.
Display creatives
-
Open the creative.
-
Click Creative status.
-
Expand Display & Video 360 review. Next to feedback, check the rejected URL.
-
If it doesn't start with "https", it's not secure. Replace it with a secure URL.
-
If the URL belongs to an ad technology vendor that's not approved, work with the vendor to get approved or replace the URL.
-
Third-party VAST tags
- Open the creative and copy the VAST tag URL.
- Paste the VAST tag URL in a browser window and check for rejected calls.
- If you don't recognize the invalid calls, check if they're coming from other loaded resources in the VAST file.
How to fix the issue:
- Non-SSL URLs: Remove any non-SSL calls or make the call SSL-compliant.
- Malware: All calls need to be removed.
- Invalid fourth-party calls: Either remove any calls from the unapproved vendor or work with your account representative to certify the technology. Currently certification is only available for additional technology from existing Ad technology providers.
