Create & attach a video to an Assignment

  1. Go to classroom.google.com.
  2. Click the class and then Classwork.
  3. At the top, click Create and then Assignment .
  4. In the ”Attach” section, select Create and then Vids .
    • Tip: This should create an untitled video and attach it to the Assignment.
  5. Click the untitled file.
  6. Add content to the video.
  7. Add a name to the file
  8. Reload Classroom.
    • Check if the name is correct.
  9. Next to the attachment, click the Down arrow and choose an option for how students interact with the attachment:
    • Students can view file: All students can read the file, but not edit it.
    • Students can edit file: All students share the same file and can make changes to it.
    • Make a copy for each student: Students get their own copy of the Google Docs, Sheets, Slides, or Vids file with their name added to the document title. You and the student can edit the document. When students turn in the assignment, they can’t edit the document until you return it to them.
      • Note: This option is only available before you post an assignment.

Create & attach a video to Material

  1. Go to classroom.google.com.
  2. Click the class and then Classwork.
  3. At the top, click Create and then Material.
  4. In the “Attach” section, select Create and then Vids .
  5. Click the untitled file.
  6. Add content to the video.
  7. Add a name to the file.
  8. Reload Classroom.
    • Check if the video is correct.

Attach a video to an Assignment or Material

  1. Go to classroom.google.com.
  2. Click the class and then Classwork.
  3. At the top, click Create.
  4. Select what you want to create.
  5. To select the video in:
    • Assignment:
      1. Click Drive .
      2. In the menu, select the video you want to attach and then At the bottom right, click Add.
        • Tip: You can choose an option on how students interact with the attachment:
          • Students can view file
          • Students can edit file
          • Make a copy for each student
            • Note: This option is only available before you post an assignment.
    • Material:
      1. Click Drive .
      2. In the menu, select the video you want to attach and then At the bottom right, click Add.

Attach a video to an Announcement

  1. Go to classroom.google.com.
  2. Click the class and then Stream and then Announce something to your class.
  3. Click Drive ​​​​.
  4. In the menu, select the video you want to attach At the bottom right, click Add.

Create & attach a video to a student submission

Important: Use an eligible student account.

  1. Go to classroom.google.com.
  2. Click the class and then Classwork .
  3. Click an assignment and then View instructions.
  4. At the top right, under “Your work” click Add or Create.
  5. Select Google Drive
  6. In the menu, select the video you want to attach and then At the bottom right, click Add.
