To enhance your presentation, you can add text, shapes, lines, and other objects in Google Slides.
Add and remove text or objects
Add text boxes or objects
- On your Android phone or tablet, open a presentation in the Google Slides app.
- On the slide you want to add to, tap Add .
- Choose what you want to add, then tap Text, Image, Shape, or Line.
Remove text boxes or objects
- On your Android phone or tablet, open a presentation in the Google Slides app.
- Tap an object.
- In the menu that appears, tap More .
- Tap Delete.
Arrange objects on a slide
Move an object
- On your Android phone or tablet, open a presentation in the Google Slides app.
- Tap the object you want to move.
- Drag the object to a new location.
Drag and drop objects
If you're using multiple apps, you can also copy and paste content into Google Slides from other apps.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open a presentation in the Google Slides app.
- Open a different app in split screen mode.
- Tap and hold the object or text you want to move.
- Drag the content onto the slides app to paste it.
Resize an object
- On your Android phone or tablet, open a presentation in the Google Slides app.
- Tap the object you want to resize.
- Touch and drag the blue squares around the object.
Rotate an object
- On your Android phone or tablet, open a presentation in the Google Slides app.
- Tap the object you want to rotate.
- Touch and drag the blue circle at the top of the object.
Change the order of objects
- On your Android phone or tablet, open a presentation in the Google Slides app.
- Tap the object you want to change the order of.
- In the menu that appears, tap More .
- Tap what you want the object to do:
- Move to front: Places the object in front of all other objects, so nothing overlaps it.
- Send to back: Places the object behind other objects, which may overlap it.
Select multiple objects
- On your Android phone or tablet, open a presentation in the Google Slides app.
- Touch and hold an object until the top bar turns blue.
- To select other objects, tap them.
To move more than one selected object, touch and drag.
Group objects together
If you want use multiple objects like a single object, you can group them together.
- On your Android phone or tablet, open a presentation in the Google Slides app.
- Touch and hold an object until the top bar turns blue.
- Select the other objects you want to group together.
- Tap Group . To separate the objects, tap Group again.
