You can change layouts and sort your files and folders to find them easily.
Change between list & grid layout
There are 2 ways to view files and folders in Google Drive: list and grid layout.
- To change from list to grid layout, go to your toolbar and click the grid layout icon .
- To change back to the list layout, go to your toolbar and click the list layout icon .
Reorder files & folders
Change your "Sort by" method in Google Drive
- Open the app for Google Drive .
- At the bottom right, tap Files .
- At the top, under "My Drive," tap your "Sort by" method.
Change your "Sort by" method in Google Docs, Sheets, Slides
- Open the app for Google Docs , Sheets , or Slides .
- At the top left, above your list or grid of files, select a "Sort by" method.
Tip: In Google Drive, you can reverse the direction of your sort. At the top right, next to your "Sort by" method, tap the arrow .
