If you no longer want to receive calls or messages from someone, you can block them.
Important: People you previously blocked in Duo can join Meet meetings. Learn more about who can join your meetings.
Block or report someone
After you block someone, they can't contact you directly on Duo, but you might still interact with someone you've blocked if you're in a Duo group call together.
When you block someone, you can also report abuse.
- On your computer, go to Google Duo.
- Under "Recent Activity," click on the contact you want to block Options .
- Select an option:
- Click Block user.
- If applicable, check the box next to "Report as spam."
- Click Report abuse & block.
- Select the abuse types that apply:
- Spam
- Fraud or Phishing
- Malware (distributed via link)
- Harassment or hateful content
- Other
- Select the abuse types that apply:
- Click Block user.
- Click Block.
Important: You can block or report abuse and block without reporting as spam or selecting an abuse type.
Unblock someone
To remove someone from your block list:
- On your computer, go to duo.google.com.
- At the top right, open Settings .
- Select Blocked users.
- Next to the person's name, click Unblock .
