Find & invite contacts

You can find a person to call through Duo if they're in your contacts. If they're not in your contacts but they use Duo, you can add them. If you use Duo on another device with the same Google Account, your contacts will sync across devices.

Before you begin

Sync your contacts so they appear in Google Duo. You can turn this off at any time.

  1. On your device, open Settings.
  2. Search for Duo.
  3. Turn Contact permissions on or off.

Tip: You can also remove access to your Google Account contacts. If you remove your account, you won't be able to use certain features like using Google Duo on multiple devices.

Find contacts

You'll see someone in your contacts in Duo. If you use Google Duo on another device with the same Google Account, your contacts will sync across devices.

Note: Your contacts may not sync if your Google Account is through your work or school.
