You might get errors in Classroom when teachers and students are in different domains.
Joining classes
Teachers can't send an invitation to certain studentsTeachers can't invite students from an untrusted domain to join a class. For details, go to Use an allowlist for trusted domains.
If students are from a domain that's not on your allowlist, they can't use a code to join a class in your domain. For details, go to Use an allowlist for trusted domains.
File sharing
Teachers can't share a file with the classIf a domain is on your allowlist, you still need to give your users permissions to share outside of your domain. For details, go to Grant file sharing access for domains on your allowlist.
If students can't submit their work:
- Contact the Google Workspace for Education administrator for the students from domains on your allowlist and check that they can share files outside of their domains. For details, go to Grant file sharing access for domains on your allowlist.
- Check that the teacher has space in Google Drive. Learn how to clear Drive space and increase storage.
If a student can't unsubmit their work for an assignment, you might need to give them permission to share outside of your domain. For details, go to Grant file sharing access for domains on your allowlist.
