Cancel or pause your Google Fi service
Cancel Google Fi service
If Google Fi service is cancelled, the cancellation impacts subscription eligibility.
Plan owner cancels service
If a plan owner cancels Google Fi service, we charge the remaining amount owed for all active subscription phones on their account at the regular price. Group members can transfer their phone numbers to a new provider or their own Google Fi plan.
Group plan member cancels service
If a group plan member cancels service, the number of active lines on the account may fall below the number of subscriptions. If this happens, we notify the group plan owner. If not corrected, the monthly phone charge increases to the standard financing rate.Pause Google Fi service
Upgrade your phone
How upgrade works
After 2 years of monthly payments, you fully own your phone. At that time, you can decide if you want to stay in the program and receive the next device in the subscription program as an upgrade. If you don't upgrade, your monthly payment reduces to device protection only.
If you want to upgrade sooner than 2 years, you must cancel and pay the remainder of your subscription equal to the cancelation payout. After we receive your payment, you can re-subscribe by ordering a new phone. The new device starts another 2-year term.
