If you didn’t buy the Watch5 through Google Fi, any warranty will have to be covered from the manufacturer or place of purchase.
After April 19, 2023, Google Fi will add full connectivity (data, calls, and texts) for compatible watches to all pricing plans: Flex, Unlimited Plus, and Simply Unlimited. Previously, users couldn’t buy a watch from Google Fi or use connectivity services unless connected with Bluetooth. However, existing Simply Unlimited users won’t have wearable connectivity turned on until after their first billing cycle following April 19, 2023.
Google Fi users get one wearable per account, separate from data-only SIMs.
Tip: Flexible Plan users pay for data by usage. The Watch5 uses data to call, text, and use apps and the internet, which could affect the amount of data that Flexible Plan users will pay for.
