In Smart campaigns, a goal represents the main activity that you want potential customers to do after they see your ad.
When you create a Smart campaign, you’ll be asked to choose one of the following goals:
Get more calls
Choose this goal if you want potential customers to phone your business. Your Smart campaign will be optimized to encourage potential customers to call you by adding a prominent “Call” button to your ads. When a customer clicks the “Call” button, they’ll be connected to your business phone number.
Get more visits to your physical location
Choose this goal if you want potential customers to visit you in person. Your Smart campaign will be optimized to encourage potential customers to visit your business, and Google Ads will show you how many customers interacted with your business on Google Maps as a result of your campaign.
Get more website sales or sign-ups
Choose this goal if you want potential customers to complete a trackable action (for example, a purchase or signup) on your website. Your Smart campaign will be optimized to encourage customers to make online transactions, and Google Ads will help you set up Google Analytics to track customers and their purchases on your site.
Get more brand awareness with video views
Choose this goal if you are a small business or YouTube creator who is interested in increasing brand awareness or video views.
Tip
While you can choose only one goal per campaign, you can create multiple Smart campaigns if you have more than one goal for your business.
