Select individual placements to remove
- In the account tree, select the account, campaign, or ad group containing the placements to remove.
- Select Keywords and targeting > Placements in the type list.
- Select one or more placements.
- Click Remove.
- Your removed placements will appear in the data view with a strikethrough and with a minus ( - ) beside them.
Remove a list of placements from specific campaigns and ad groups
- Select Keywords and Targeting > Placements in the type list.
- Click Make multiple changes.
- Next to "Bulk Change Action," select Remove.
- Type or paste the data to remove in the grid.
- Click Process.
- To continue, click Finish and review changes. To cancel the operation, click Revert and cancel.
- To add the pending changes to your account, click Keep. To undo the changes, click Reject.
Remove some placements while adding or updating others
You can use the "Make multiple changes" tool to change the status for multiple placements at once. Simply include the new status (enabled, paused, or removed) with each placement, and Google Ads Editor will add, update, and remove placements in one step. Learn how to edit your placements.
Remove placements from an account (where the campaign or ad group names are unknown)
- Select Keywords and Targeting > Placements in the type list.
- Click the search menu icon > Search builder.
- From the dropdown menu, select Any > Placement > Final URL.
- From the next dropdown menu, select equals.
- Type in your placement’s final URL, then click the search button.
- Select the placements you’d like to remove and click Remove.
- You can repeat these steps to find and remove multiple placements.
Replace all placements
You can use the "Make multiple changes" tool to replace your existing placements with a new list.
- Under "Bulk Change Action", select Replace.
- Your existing placements will be removed and replaced with your new list.
