If you want other people to access your Google Nest camera or doorbell’s live video stream, there are a few ways you can share it without giving them your account email and password for the app (never share your password with anybody).
The most common way is to invite a new member with the Home app or with Family Accounts in the Nest app.
Older cameras controlled with the Nest app have a couple more ways to share video: with a password-protected link or with a public link. If you’d like to share your camera’s video with other people but don’t want to share access to your home and all the devices in it, you can share your camera’s video publicly or with a password-protected link.
Differences between camera sharing methods

Share your camera with an app invitation
Important: People who share access to your home with the Home or Nest app can control and access all the Google Nest products in your home. They’ll be able to change settings, remove products from your account and more, so only share with people who you trust.
- Send an invitation to your home with the Home app or Nest app to people you want to share your camera’s video feed.
- Once they accept your invitation, they can view the live video stream of all the cameras you have in your home. They can also get any alerts for motion, sound and more. If the camera has a Nest Aware subscription, they’ll be able to view its recorded video history.
