Reconnect Heat Link and Nest thermostat
Usually, your Nest thermostat and the Heat Link will reconnect on their own, even if your Wi-Fi is down, as they communicate over their own proprietary wireless network.
If it doesn’t reconnect on its own:
- Tap Try again on the thermostat.
- Check the message on your thermostat display.
- Enter or search for the last part of the URL (for instance, H71 if you see nest.com/H71) to get detailed instructions at the article: Troubleshoot Nest thermostat error codes.
When they reconnect, the status light will turn solid green and the Nest thermostat will automatically return to controlling your heating and hot water according to its schedule. If the HeatLink is in Manual mode, you’ll see “Manual” on the Nest app home screen and on the thermostat.
