On Google News, you can find different kinds of news and video stories. Some sections cover the same subjects for readers. Some pick stories based on your interests.
Important:
- Some features are available if you're signed in to your Google Account.
- If you share a paid story, others may not access it until they pay for it.
Get Full Coverage
A computer algorithm finds and lists stories for you in Google News. If you’re interested in a story, you can select "Full Coverage" to get more resources, perspectives, and context. Full Coverage has no personalization other than your language, region, and subscriptions.
To find all available sources for a subject: At the bottom of a story, tap Full Coverage of this story .
To find sources on “Full Coverage” that you subscribe to: Scroll to “From your subscribed sources.”
Search for specific content
- Open your Google News app .
- At the top left, tap Search .
- Enter your search, like a:
- Topic to read about
- Place to follow
- Source to read from
Find content based on your interests
You can find stories picked by an algorithm that are based on your settings and past activity. Algorithms personalize your Google News settings based on your interests, sources, and past activity on Google, like in Google Search and YouTube. - On your iPhone or iPad, open the Google News app .
- Find "Your briefing."
- To find your personalized feed based on your interests, tap Following .
- To add interests to your "Following" tab:
- At the bottom, tap Following .
- In the interest picker, tap on the suggested interests.
- This shows up if you have fewer than 5 interests in your library.
- To search for any topic, source, or location, tap Add .
- At the top, tap the search bar.
Read your saved stories or subscriptions
- Open your Google News app .
- At the bottom, tap Following .
- To browse your followings and saved stories, tap Library.
