4. Use Active Noise Control

Active Noise Control

In the Pixel Buds app, you will find 3 modes to control noise under Active Noise Control (ANC).

  • Noise Cancellation: Blocks outside noise. When you activate this, you'll hear a single chime.

  • Transparency: Lets sound in so you can hear the world around you. When you activate this, you'll hear a double chime.

  • Off: Both active states are disabled. When you activate this, you'll hear a single chime.

Note: If you wear only one of the Pixel Buds, you can still use all of the noise control states including ANC, Transparency, and Off modes.

Pixel Buds Pro and Pro 2 only: Turn on Conversation Detection to automatically switch from Noise Cancellation mode to Transparency mode when talking and pauses your media. Once you are done talking, your media will resume.

You can change the current mode in different ways. Learn controls for Google Pixel Buds.
