Fix Charging Speaker Dock audio and connection issues

If your Pixel Tablet has audio or connection issues after you connect it to a Charging Speaker Dock, try the steps below to help resolve the issue.

Important: To dock your Pixel Tablet or use Hub Mode, you need a Charging Speaker Dock. You can purchase the Pixel Tablet with or without a dock, or purchase a dock separately.

Troubleshooting steps

1. Detach and reattach your tablet from the dock

  1. Detach your tablet from the charging dock.
  2. Reattach your tablet to the charging dock.
  3. Make sure that the connection is secure.

2. Plug your Charging Speaker dock into a different power socket

  1. Check that the power cable is securely plugged into your dock.
  2. Verify that another power socket in your home works and then plug the dock into it.

3. Plug your Pixel tablet into a power socket with a cable

  1. Remove your tablet from the charging dock.
  2. Plug your tablet into a wall socket with a USB-C cable and power adaptor.
  3. Verify that your tablet is charging.
  4. Unplug your tablet from the wall socket.
  5. Reattach your tablet to the charging dock.

If your tablet charges with a cable but not when it's attached to the dock, there might be a problem with your dock.

4. Restart your Charging Speaker Dock

To restart your dock:

  1. Unplug the power cable from your dock.
  2. Leave the dock unplugged for one minute.
  3. Plug the power cable back into the dock
    • Wait until you hear the chime to confirm that the dock has restarted.

5. Restart your Pixel Tablet

If the above solutions don't work, try restarting your tablet.
