Important: This feature is available for Pixel 6 and later devices, including Pixel Tablet.
You can get a weather forecast with Pixel Weather, which includes a customisable detail page, notifications and summary.
You can also get other information like:
- 10-day forecast
- Air quality index (AQI)
- Humidity
- Weather map
- Pollen count
Tips:
- To change temperature units, tap User

Weather units.To manage your Pixel Weather notifications:
- Open your device's Settings app.
- Tap Apps
- To receive notifications such as precipitation, turn on all Pixel Weather notifications.
You can add vibration to the Pixel Weather background animations.
Important: This feature is normally on but the system will automatically disable any haptics in potentially dangerous weather conditions.
- Open the Weather app.
- At the top right, tap User
- Under 'Vibration and haptics', turn Animation haptics on or off.
You can check the weather in your current location or saved locations.
To add a location:
- On the Pixel Weather home screen, tap Add
.
- Search the location name or by area or postcode.
- Select the location that you want to add.
- The location is automatically saved and appears on your list of saved locations.
To delete a saved location, in the locations list view, swipe the location name to the left.
A summary of the weather forecast for your location is provided by the AI weather report. The summary of the weather forecast is AI-generated and is only available on Pixel 9 and later, in English. Learn more about Google's GenAI policies.
When there are weather alerts for extreme or dangerous events, the AI weather report will not show and the alert will be at the top of the page.
To disable the feature:
- In Pixel Weather, go to Saved locations.
- At the top left, tap on User
- In the dialogue box, tap Turn off.
To adjust the weather blocks:
- Touch and hold the block that you want to move.
- Drag it to your preferred placement on the app.
You can select a map to see a six-hour precipitation forecast.
Important: The weather map is only available in the US, UK and most EU countries, excluding Italy and Luxembourg.
- You can move around the map and scroll the timeline at the bottom to see changes over time.
