You can update your developer account information using Google Play Console. Only the account owner can change the developer account information that you provide and it must comply with Google Play's Developer Programme Policies.
Important: To help keep Google Play users safe, you must maintain accurate developer account information. If your developer identity or contact information changes, make sure that you update your developer account information accordingly in Play Console to avoid having your account restricted and your apps removed from Google Play. Find out about keeping your developer account information up to date.
Manage general developer account information (all developer accounts)
Developers with any account type (personal and organisation) can provide, view and manage the information listed below by expanding the sections and following the instructions.
Store listing contact detailsTo update your store listing contact details:
- Open Play Console and go to the Store settings page.
- Under 'Store listing contact details', type your email address, phone number and website. An email address is required to publish or update apps on Google Play.
- Save your changes.
This information will appear on your app’s Google Play store listing page.
- Open Play Console.
- Go to Developer page.
- Next to 'Developer name', type the developer name that you want to display on Google Play.
- Save your changes.
To update your developer name:
- Open Play Console and go to the About you page (Developer account > About you).
- Next to 'Developer name', type the developer name that you want to display on Google Play.
- Save your changes. Your updated developer name will be visible on Google Play after we've reviewed and approved it.
To comply with consumer protection laws, merchant accounts (developer accounts with apps that monetise via paid apps or in-app purchases) must show their full address on Google Play. The address used is the one taken from the Google payments profile linked to your Google Play Developer account.
You can view this information on the Account details page (Developer account > Account details)
If you wish to change this information, you must update your Google payments profile.
Manage personal developer account information
If your developer account is a personal account, you can view and manage your developer account information by visiting the Account details page (Developer account > Account details), entering up-to-date information, and then saving your changes.
The Account details page organises your information on two tabs: About you and Contact details. Expand the sections below to see the information that you can manage on each tab.
About you- Account type (read-only): The Google Play Developer account type that you selected during sign-up. Learn more about account types.
- Account ID (read-only): Your unique 19-digit Google Play Developer account ID. Quote this ID if you need to contact Google Play developer support.
- Developer name: Shown on Google Play to identify your Developer Profile and apps.
How Google contacts you
This information is only used by Google to contact you and isn't shown on Google Play:
- Contact name: If we need to speak to someone about your account, this is who we'll ask for.
- Contact email address: The email address that we'll use to contact you, which must be verified using a one-time password.
- Preferred language: Your preferred language for email communications.
- Contact phone number: The phone number in an international format that we will use to contact you if we need to, which must be verified using a one-time password.
Phone numbers in international format begin with a plus (+) sign, followed by the country code, the area code and the phone number:
+(Country code)(Area code)(Phone number)

How users contact you
This information is only used by Google to contact you and isn't shown on Google Play:
- (Korea-based developers only) Developer phone number: The phone number in international format that users will use to contact you if they need to, which must be verified using a one-time password. Learn more about requirements for distributing apps in Korea.
Phone numbers in international format begin with a plus (+) sign, followed by the country code, the area code and the phone number:

- Developer email address: The email address that users will use to contact you if they need to, which must be verified using a one-time password.

Manage organisation developer account information
If your developer account is for an organisation, you can view and manage your developer account information by visiting the Account details page (Developer account > Account details), entering up-to-date information, and then saving your changes.
The Account details page organises your information on two tabs: About you and Contact details. Expand the sections below to see the information that you can manage on each tab.
About you- Account type (read-only): The Google Play Developer account type that you selected during sign-up. Learn more about account types.
- Account ID (read-only): Your unique 19-digit Google Play Developer account ID. Quote this ID if you need to contact Google Play developer support.
- Developer name: Shown on Google Play to identify your Developer Profile and apps.
- Organisation details (read-only): Your organisation name, address and D-U-N-S number as listed in your Google payments profile. Learn how to update your Google payments profile.
- Tip: Click View payment profile to open your payment profile.
- Organisation type: Used to tailor how we verify your organisation. This is not shown on Google Play. You can select the most appropriate type in the drop-down list.
- Organisation size: The number of employees in your organisation. This is not shown on Google Play. You can select the number in the drop-down list.
- Organisation phone number: The main phone number associated with your organisation in international format.
Phone numbers in international format begin with a plus (+) sign, followed by the country code, the area code and the phone number:

- Organisation website: The URL of your organisation's main website. This is not shown on Google Play.
Additional information for developers in Korea
Developers based in Korea must provide additional information:
- Business registration number
- E-commerce licence number
- E-commerce licensing agency
This information will be shown to users who access Google Play in Korean. Learn more about requirements for distributing apps in Korea.
How Google contacts you
This information is only used by Google to contact you and isn't shown on Google Play:
- Contact name: If we need to speak to someone about your account, this is who we'll ask for.
- Contact email address: The email address that we'll use to contact you if we need to, which:
- Must be verified using a one-time password;
- Should be different to the email address associated with your Google Account;
- Should match the domain of your organisation's website;
- Must represent your organisation; and
- Can be a group mailing list.
- Preferred language: Your organisation's preferred language for email communications.
- Contact phone number: The phone number, in international format, that we will use to contact your organisation if we need to, which must be verified using a one-time password.
Phone numbers in international format begin with a plus (+) sign, followed by the country code, the area code and the phone number:

Manage your Developer Page information

Manage the payments profile linked to your Google Play Developer account
After you've created and linked a payments profile to your Play Console developer account, your linked accounts and payments country setting can't be changed.
Some information on your Account details page, such as your name and address, is taken from the Google payments profile that was selected when this developer account was created.
You can view this information on the Payments profile page (Developer account > Account details > Payments profile). If you wish to change this information, you must update your Google payments profile.
If you want to change the payments profile (mentioned above) linked to your developer account, you can create a new developer account and payments profile and link the new accounts.
Accounts with published or unpublished apps
To transfer apps to a new account, go to our app transfer checklist, follow the steps carefully and submit your request.
Accounts without apps
If you haven't published any apps using your existing Play Console account, you can create a new account and cancel your existing one.
Manage your email notification and role preferences
You can set or update your email notification preferences and share information about your role by expanding the sections below and following the instructions.
Set up or update your email notification preferencesSet up your email notification preferences
- Open Play Console and go to the Notifications page (Settings > Notifications).
- Expand each section and select Emails on or Emails off, depending on your preferences.
- Note: Emails on is automatically selected for 'Policy' and 'Payments and tax'. This cannot be changed. If you select Emails off for optional subjects, like 'Tips, news and opportunities', we'll still send required emails, like mandatory service announcements, to the email address associated with your Developer Profile.
- Save your changes.
To update your notification preferences in the future, you can follow the steps above and change your selections.
Change account password
- On your Google Account, go to Security.
- In the 'How you sign in to Google' section, click Password.
- Follow the on-screen steps and save your changes.
Tip: If you're having trouble signing in to your account, go to Google Account recovery.
Transfer apps to a different account
To transfer apps to a different account, go to our app transfer checklist, follow the steps carefully and submit your request.
Delete a developer account
If you haven't published an appIf you haven't published any apps and want to delete a developer account or transfer all your apps to another account, you can contact our support team. Deleting a Google Account will not automatically delete your developer account.
If you've published an app using your developer account and want to delete your account, you'll need to:
- Sign in to your original account to back up or download your information before requesting an account deletion. If you delete a Play Console account, you won't be able to use it again.
- Contact our support team to transfer your apps to another account.
- Reply to the app transfer confirmation to close your existing account.
Note:
- If you want to use the same developer name on a new account, you'll need to change your developer name on your existing account to a different name. Developer names can't be identical.

Deleting a Google Account will not automatically delete your developer account.
Frequently asked questions
Can I change my Google Play Developer account owner email address and country?The account owner's email address and country can't be changed. However, you can use a different email address (username) to identify your Google Account. You can also create a new account using a different email address or country, and transfer your apps to your new account.

Accounts without apps
