COVID-19 is no longer considered a global pandemic and we are therefore updating our previous policy requirements for COVID-19 related apps. New or existing COVID-19 apps that contain health-related features or access health data now fall under the new Health Apps policy.
If you plan to significantly change your app functionality, such as adding or removing contact tracing or status-storing functionalities, then you must alert your users (for example, via an in-app notification or update the "What’s new" section). You may also consider unpublishing your app from Google Play.
