As a Google Workspace or Cloud Identity administrator, you can control where users in your organization can send Looker Studio content. This helps ensure that Looker Studio usage is secure and complies with your organization's policies.

Set permissions by department or domain
This feature is available with G Suite Enterprise, Enterprise for Education, G Suite Essentials, Business, Education, and Nonprofits edition. Compare editions
Users can send content based on the permissions that you set for their organizational unit or group. Typically, first you choose permissions for organizational units or for your domain. After that, you can customize permissions for groups of users within or across organizational units.
- Add an organizational unit for each department or domain. For steps, see Add an organizational unit.
- Move users to your organizational units. For steps, see Move users to an organizational unit.
- Set scheduling permissions for each organizational unit using the steps in the following section.
Set scheduling permissions
By default, users can send content to any email domain outside of your organization, and only to Google Chat destinations in your organization. You can restrict the allowed destinations by using the options discussed in the following sections.
To restrict users from sending Looker Studio content outside your organization, follow these steps:

Sign in to your Google Admin console.
Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).

In the Admin console, go to Menu AppsAdditional Google ServicesLooker Studio.
- To restrict users from sending content outside of your organization through email:
- Click General settings in the Content distribution settings section.
- Clear Allow email delivery.
- To restrict users from sending content outside of your organization through Google Chat (Looker Studio Pro only):
- Click Pro features in the Content distribution settings section
- Clear Allow chat delivery.
- Click Save.
Looker Studio Pro feature
The features and functionality described in this section are available to Looker Studio Pro users.
To restrict allowed email schedule destinations to a list of domains, follow these steps:

Sign in to your Google Admin console.
Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).

From the Google Admin Console home page, go to AppsAdditional Google servicesSettings for Looker Studio.
- Click Pro features in the Content distribution settings section.

Enter up to 100 allowed email domains in Email domain allowlist field. Separate domains with commas. If no domains are specified, users can send content to any email domain.
- Click Save.
You can enable users to send email content to any email address and to external Google Chat destinations outside of your organization. This is the default behavior. To set up this functionality, follow these steps:

Sign in to your Google Admin console.
Sign in using your administrator account (does not end in @gmail.com).

From the Google Admin Console home page, go to AppsAdditional Google servicesSettings for Looker Studio.
- Open the Content distribution settings section.

In the General settings section:
- Select Allow email delivery.
- In the Pro features section:
- Delete any email domains from the Email domain allowlist field. If no domains are specified, users can send content to any email domain.
- Select Allow chat delivery.

Click Save.
Effects of canceling your Looker Studio Pro subscription
If you cancel your Looker Studio Pro subscription, Pro features in the Content distribution settings will not be enforced. General settings in the Content distribution settings will continue to apply. Users will be able to send content to any email domain outside of your organization if the Allow email delivery setting is enabled. Scheduling via Google Chat will not be available.
